“Geo #1 Touch of Magic” – mixed media on canvas 305 x 407mm

Geo #1 Touch of Magic is the first of a series of 3-dimensional mixed media pieces that I have started. Rocks have been formed using a range of acrylic mediums and it has been decorated with moulded clay “stones” and emblems. A little bit of bling has been added to make the piece pop! It could be hung on the wall or displayed on a small easel in a nook.

The edges are painted in a black which helps to create the shadows that float frames are known for.

This painting has been professionally framed by Highly Strung Picture Framing & Art Supplies in a black Float Frame. A float frame is a stylish picture framing technique that leaves a gap between the canvas and the frame. The shadow line adds depth to the image and the image appears to be floating within the frame, hence the name.
